Time Running out to Find London’s Best Trade Apprentice

Time is running out in Leyland’s search to find London’s best trade apprentice – with the June 29 deadline fast approaching.

The leading decorating and DIY specialist is celebrating up-and-coming tradespeople through its Apprentice of the Year competition, with £2,000 up for grabs for the winner.

Leyland is looking for an apprentice in any trade who has excelled in their work over the last year by showing extraordinary commitment to their learning, producing outstanding work or going the extra mile to help a customer.

The winner will receive £2,000 to spend at any of Leyland’s 35 stores, allowing them to stock up on tools and materials to take the next step in their career, as well as a gold-plated trophy.

Martin Hastings, CEO at Leyland, said: “We have already had some super nominations in our Apprentice of the Year competition and we’re keen to hear about more exceptional trainee tradespeople before the closing date.

“There is a fantastic prize on offer, which will allow the winner to purchase all the tools they need to continue in the trade long past their apprenticeship. There is also a gold-plated trophy to be won, which would look great on any mantlepiece.

“Our stores are very popular with professional tradespeople, who enjoy the convenience we offer along with the wide range of products and quality of service. This is our way of celebrating tradespeople in London.”

The winning apprentice will be decided by a team of experts.

Leyland’s stores are in prominent locations across London, stocking a comprehensive range of thousands of products across all departments, including paint and decorating essentials, building materials, electrical fittings, tools and plumbing equipment.

Some of the biggest and best-known trade and DIY brands are available at Leyland, including Dulux, Johnstone’s, Leyland Trade, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library, Tesa, Bahco, Bosch, Purdy, Stanley, Ronseal and DEWALT.
