We try to cater for everyone on the Decorators Forum UK, whether you’re a site basher, work on high end castles, an apprentice or a subbie!! We have loads of platforms to choose from, from Facebook to YouTube, all the way through to TikTok!! The Decorators Forum UK is the perfect painters Pitstop for everyone in the industry.
OK, let’s start with the main Facebook Group, which is actually called “Painter and Decorators Forum UK”. This group is very active and contains an eclectic mix of decorators.
In the group you’ll be able to share tips and tricks, talk shop and enjoy a bit of banter. No pricing posts though, they don’t tend to go down too well!! You’ll find it’s atmosphere similar to that of a bunch of decorators in a pub. All lighthearted and fun. Click here to join
There is another Facebook group called Painting and Decorating Products Reviewed. This one is a bit more serious and is mainly used to discuss products (the clue is in the name). You can join this group here.
Our open Facebook page, The Decorators Forum UK is well worth a follow. Keep up to date with news and reviews from within the industry, as well as the odd meme.
TikTok is our up and coming platform. I warn you now, do not take the content seriously!! Almost everything on there is meant as a joke, so please take it as such.
Swiftly moving onto Instagram, which is awesome!! You’ll find images and videos that will keep you entertained for years!!
OK, next we have Twitter. Great for sharing work, talking shop and winning lots of freebies!! If you have a decorating question, just tag us on twitter and we’ll retweet every time.
Last but not least, we have YouTube. Slightly quieter, but some great content. Subscribe here!!
All this is held together by our website, which is the hub of everything we do. It’s also worth checking out our approved suppliers’ page for online discount codes.
Is this a closed shop
Hi all
As a retired painter it’s tough to keep up with modern products.
I used to use an oil filler made by Toupret called a high gloss surfacer.
It came in a 1kg metal tub and could only be used about 1mm deep. Ideal as an exterior fine filler.
It does not appear to be available anymore. What do you use on exterior paintwork it you want a mirror finish.
