This autumn, British paint and wallpaper maker Farrow & Ball is unveiling Flat Eggshell, a durable new paint finish for interior wood and metal. This new development completes the heritage brand’s improved Interior Range: durable paint finishes for every space, which don’t compromise on aesthetics or practicality.

Scrubbable, stain-resistant and scuff-proof, Flat Eggshell is a super-tough finish for wood, metal and concrete. It boasts the highest possible scrub rating of Class 1. This durable finish brings an understated elegance to kitchen cabinets, skirting boards and even floors. With a 20% sheen, it’s the flattest interior eggshell Farrow & Ball offers.

Gareth Hayfield, Head of Research and Technical Development at Farrow & Ball, comments:

“I’m delighted to introduce our newest paint finish, Flat Eggshell. It combines our handcrafted approach, the highest quality ingredients and our cutting-edge technical expertise. We designed it with both DIYers and professionals in mind. The water-based formula is quick drying, quick curing and has the lowest possible VOC rating, so you can enjoy your finished space even sooner.”

Flat Eggshell completes the B Corp Certified brand’s range of durable, interior paints, which also includes ultra-matt, multi-surface Dead Flat and the mid-sheen Modern finishes. Combined with the brand’s hard-wearing, exterior paints, Farrow & Ball brings lasting colour to every space, indoors and out. All Farrow & Ball paints are handcrafted in Dorset, with 100% renewable energy and zero manufacturing waste to landfill.

Charlotte Cosby, Creative Director at Farrow & Ball, comments:

“With Flat Eggshell, we’ve combined the classic, low sheen look that people have loved for decades with the practicality that people need in busy, modern homes. Our collection of durable paints means everyone can enjoy our signature depth of colour, without worrying about scuffs, scrapes or stains. Now, you can redecorate when you want to — not because you have to.”
