Working for an Interior Designer

by JLP Decorating

A huge amount of effort went into this one!! We were working for an interior designer, which can have its ups and downs, but the final product was what she envisioned.

We mist coated all the walls, before surface filling and then sanding with our Mirka Deros.  Once all the preparation work had been completed, we gave all the woodwork 3 coats of Dulux Trade wood stain. After this they were sanded back to distress the new timbers. After we had distressed the wood, we gave it another coat of the Dulux wood stain to give it the rustic look you can see in the photos.

The ceiling given 2 coats of Dulux Trade pure brilliant white vinyl Matt emulsion.

Last, but not least, the wallpapering!! What can I say about this? It was by I Love Wallpaper (renowned for being difficult). Even with better quality wallpaper it would have been  a tricky one, with splices everywhere! Not to mention the pattern being a half drop and very hard to find at times!

I went to bed seeing this paper behind my eyelids I promise you! Maximum effort gives maximum results!! Hard graft but incredibly happy with the results. As was the designer (thank God!!)
