Dulux Decorator Centre has enhanced its delivery offering to give tradespeople the flexibility to arrange orders for a time that suits them.
As a business, Dulux Decorator Centre is constantly revaluating its customer service to meet the ever-changing needs of tradespeople. The new market-leading Express Delivery option means customers receive their order from just two hours after it has been placed – keeping them working as efficiently as possible with quick access to the products that they need.
In addition, Dulux Decorator Centre is offering free morning or afternoon slots as part of its same day delivery service to ensure that deliveries work around the customer’s day and projects for maximum efficiency. The new delivery options are in response to the ever-changing needs of customers – with many customers now choosing to manage their account and shop online and get their products delivered at a time that suits them alongside visits to store.
A trial last year, taken place within the M25 inner circle region, saw the introduction of a ‘Hub & Satellite’ delivery setup across stores in the region, which meant a Hub store fulfilled all deliveries for the satellite stores they supported. This new delivery model has enabled Dulux Decorator Centre to fulfil more deliveries when customers want them. Results showed that, when customers can choose morning or afternoon slot to suit them, the peak time for deliveries was 8:30am – so Dulux Decorator Centre could get more deliveries to customers ready for the start of their working day.
Guy Butterworth, Managing Director of Dulux Decorator Centre, explains: “Making our products as accessible as possible to our customers whenever they need them is at the very centre of what we do, and we’re delighted to be able to offer even more ways to make this a reality.
“Customers across the industry are putting increased value on efficiency, time, and convenience. Now more than ever, tradespeople are looking for a wide range of delivery options that work around their schedule – ordering online for collection and delivery to home or project locations is now just as important as visits to store.
“Our new delivery options are designed to work around the busy days of our customers, allowing them to get what they need at a time of their choosing, or even ahead of the working day, early in the morning. It also saves customers money on fuel, as they do not need to travel to store – something that has become increasingly important amidst the current cost of living crisis – and time, by saving trips to stores and reducing delivery wait times.
“There has never been a better time for new and existing customers to try out what we have to offer and benefit from the seamless experience of shopping with us.”
The accessible new delivery options mean Dulux Decorator Centre can deliver at the convenience of its customers and meet their individual requirements, building on the range of delivery options already in place. As well as Express Delivery, available from £25 per order, Dulux Decorator Centre customers can select free same day delivery, choosing an am or pm slot, and click and collect options. Collection lockers were also introduced in stores in 2020 to meet the growing demand for ordering and collecting product out of store hours.
