Decorating for a Nightmare Customer
Anybody else have to bite their lip and grin & bear it when decorating for a nightmare customer? I’m on a nice little job at the minute, booked a couple weeks in for this elderly customer. She’s paying day rate and wants me to do the entire house. It’s all going from magnolia & white, to white EVERYWHERE. I’ve been asked to do as much as I can in 2 weeks basically. No rush, should have been an easy couple weeks.
It’s only day 3 and I’m wishing I hadn’t bothered! I can tolerate being asked to take my shoes off, but now I’ve got to wear white socks too 😂
She asked for my recommendations on what paint to use which I gladly gave her. She read one bad review online against hundred positive ones then basically told me I “don’t know what I’m on about” (ended up buying Leyland trade emulsion/undercoat/satin)
Hoovering around me LITERALLY as I walk around the house! Don’t get me wrong, I get offered a coffee every 5 minutes, but you know when they don’t actually want to make you one. Can’t take it with me though, I’ve got to drink it in the kitchen!!
Pack up and unpack everything each day, God forbid I leave my steps and hoover in the spare room.
And it’s not even local!! I’m looking forward to finishing already.
Rant over 👊 – I can tolerate a lot and keep my mouth shut but this is just something different 😂
