AkzoNobel, manufacturer of Dulux Trade and Dulux Heritage is proud to announce a special cause-related promotion in partnership with Leyland SDM, a leading specialist decorative merchant in London. From December 2 to 15 , for every tin of Dulux Trade or Dulux Heritage product purchased, AkzoNobel and Leyland SDM will each donate £1 to St Mungo’s, the second largest homelessness charity in the UK.

This two-week initiative comes at a crucial time as temperatures drop across the UK, making it even more challenging for those without a permanent place to call home. The promotion aims to support St Mungo’s vital work in providing essential services to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, particularly during the Christmas and winter period. With numerous sites and services across London, St Mungo’s is at the forefront of addressing the homelessness in London, helping nearly 5,000 people who are sleeping on the streets of the Capital.

Peter Howard, Sustainability, CSR & Partnership Lead at Dulux, commented:

“This partnership is a shining example of brand-customer-cause collaboration. By purchasing Dulux Trade or Dulux Heritage products, decorators and DIYers are not only enhancing their living spaces but also making a meaningful impact on the lives of those without homes. We hope this promotion will colour many lives with the hope and warmth of the coming Christmas season.”

Naivasha Elworthy, Head of Marketing at Leyland, added: “We are proud to be working in partnership with our friends at AkzoNobel on this important charity campaign. Homelessness is a significant and growing issue in London. As a London-centric business with 35 stores across the capital, we want to support the people and good causes within our communities, and this is just one example of that.”

Laura Herring, Director of Fundraising & Communications for St Mungo’s, said: “This partnership goes beyond paint – it’s about making a real difference. Each tin sold during these two weeks will directly support St Mungo’s vital work, helping people rebuild their lives and find a place to call home.”

St Mungo’s offers a range of services, including a construction skills programme that equips people with qualifications in skills like painting, wallpapering, plumbing, and dry lining. These accredited courses pave the way for participants to secure employment, often through connections with construction firms, helping individuals rebuild their lives with confidence and stability.
