A Little Decorating Job

by Antony Quarmby

Looks great this little decorating job, but was a pain at times mainly, due to poor papering that was carried out years ago. They even had newspaper as lining under the anaglypta 🤣🤣🤣

We stripped it all off, thoroughly prepared every surface and installed lining paper to each wall.

We used the WRX satin on woodwork. 2 coats of the WRX, plus a undercoat as we were going over a cream colour. The WRX leaves a lovely white finish with no brush marks and it dries extremely durable for a water-based. It flies on too, which always helps.

The main colour on the walls was Farrow and Ball Sudbury Yellow mixed into Johnstone’s Trade acrylic matt. We needed to apply three coats in the end.

And damps and plummet on the feature wall to finish off.  Oh, and a bit of the old Wickes ultra matt on ceilings. This emulsion sprays great and opacity is good too! On to the next one tomorrow 😴
